Class Descriptions
- Restorative Yoga
Journey into a healthier and happier daily life by releasing
physical and mental tension. Students are guided through simple warm
ups and modifications of basic yoga poses, supported
by the use of props and repetition. Fundamental yoga sequences are
taught that strengthens the many overlapping muscles surrounding the
spine, increases flexibility of joints, releases back discomfort,
works core abdominal muscles and increases lung capacity. Ideal for
students with limited range of motion who want to enjoy a fitness
program that is adaptable to their own body's needs and abilities.
Mat and Chair exercises only.
- Mix Level: Designed for beginners to more
experienced practitioners to gain a deeper awareness of the body and
develop a higher level of focus, strength, flexibility, and
endurance. More detail instructions and modifications are given to
beginner students and experienced practitioners are encouraged to
move deeper into their practice. All
levels welcomed.

Zumba for Beginners: This is a
dance fitness class that blends high energy dance steps with world
international Latin inspired music. You can burn from 500 to 1000 calories per
class. Zumba for beginners will break down the steps for you to
learn salsa, bachata, merengue, and more. You will learn the basics
and have fun doing it. It will improve your stamina, and is taught
in a friendly atmosphere. All levels welcomed.
- YOGA 1: Learn fundamental principles and practices of
classical Hatha Yoga asanas honoring your own strength and limitations
resulting in increased balance, health, well being and
transformation. In this class, students will be guided through
floor, seated and standing postures that open vital energy centers.
Proper body alignment and flowing transition between poses are also
taught along with the use of breathing techniques, mudras (hand
gestures), mantras (sounds) and visualization. Beginner level
- YOGA 2: Continuation of Yoga 1. Blending of
various Hatha Yoga styles allowing students to go deeper into
themselves working out physical, emotional and mental blocks.
Practice includes diverse postures including standing and
balancing poses, hip openers, back bends, inversions, and
flowing sequences. Advanced techniques in breathing, mudras,
mantras, and meditation are taught. Intermediate and advance level.
- Yoga with weights: Traditional classical Hatha
Yoga sequences and the use of light weights to build bone and muscle
mass. All levels welcome.
- KUNDALINI "The Active Power:"
Intense form of Hatha Yoga that involves fast
movement and breath synchronization, use of mudras and chanting
practices. Cultivates awareness on energy centers and channels
through specific set of poses known as "kriyas" to heat the body
from the inside out to awaken "kundalini energy". Emphasis is on
balancing and strengthening the glandular and nervous system. Advance level.
- YOGA/PILATES FUSION: The science and art of
Hatha Yoga couples with Pilates method of body conditioning
resulting in strong and controlled graceful movements. Posture
sequences include Pilates mat work fused with yoga asanas and
pranayamas to connect body and mind. Intermediate and advance level.
- Kids YOGA: Give your child the opportunity to
explore creative movements leading to life enhancing skills
including improved concentration, coordination, flexibility,
balance, positive self-awareness and integrated body/mind
development. Age appropriate yoga postures, relaxation techniques,
and a wide variety of fun yoga activities are incorporated in this
Nicole's Little Yogi class. All level welcome.
- Chair Yoga :
Adaptation of gentle yoga poses to a chair which safely
supports the body. Ideal class for those seeking a form of activity
that is easy on the joints and promotes overall health benefits.
Main emphasis is on stretching along with breathing and relaxation
techniques. All level welcome.
